Its important to upgrade your refrigerant from R22 to R407c

The controversy over refrigerants has come to a conclusion in my expert opinion.  Do you remember when R12 was replaced as the go to refrigerant in the automotive industry? It was very expensive and turned out to be only temporary. The R134a used as a replacement has come under fire now and is being replaced.  This whole saga pales in comparison with the epic phase out of R22. R22 has been the main refrigerant in the air conditioning industry for our lifetimes.  Steps have been taken to replace equipment with R410a since the late eighties.  Possibly single digits percentage wise use this newer refrigerant. It works good especially for heat pumps because it is a few degrees warmer.

I have had excellent service from R407c as a replacement for R22. I can pull out the R22 and mineral oil and replace the total charge with R407c and POE oil for as little as $300. In this way, the homeowner can relax in the knowledge that the refrigerant is non ozone depleting, inexpensive and available well into the future.
